Wing and a Prayer in NYC ~ Day 2

Since college I have always wanted to go to some of the museums I studied.
This trip I scratched the Guggenheim off my bucket list.

Frank Lloyd Wright was the architect for the museum.
He is one of my favorites!


Metropolitian Museum of Art. Didn't have time to visit this trip!Central Park Zoo Plaza Hotel - This is the hotel were Home Alone was filmed.
Took these for my boys! The gigantic snowflake was suspended between the buildings!

We went to A Cathedral Christmas at St. John the Divine which included Handel's Messiah.
I loved all the details in the architecture. Looks like fabric inspiration!

Wing and a Prayer in NYC ~ Day 1 part 1

Left bright and early with a 7am flight from Kansas City.
Jenny & her Mom. Mom's first trip to NYC.Decided to hit the fashion district.Here is Mood, the fabric store made famous by the show Project Runway.
To get to Mood you have to go into the building and ride an elevator,
complete with an operator, up to the second floor where you enter the store.
Then there are three floors of fabric, trims & buttons galore!Toni finding button gems!Here is another Project Runway haunt, M&J Trimming.
It is a gigantic store with trims from floor to ceiling.
Every fabric girl's dream!We just happened to walk by and I looked up to see the Soupman from Seinfeld.
